Mississippi's Institutions of Higher Learning says a security breach affecting its Office of Financial Aid actually occurred on Monday, not Thursday as initially indicated when the agency made it public. Regional outlets including the Charleston Sun-Sentinel, Scott County Times, Grenada Star and Star-Herald are reporting the discrepancy, raising questions about how quickly the breach was disclosed and whether sensitive financial aid information was exposed.
