Iranian authorities have executed Mustafa Sharifi at Orumiyeh Central Prison, according to the Hana Human Rights Organization. The group reported the execution without providing further details about his charges or trial. The case adds to a widening pattern of executions across Iran that human rights organisations say has accelerated sharply, drawing condemnation from activists and calls for international scrutiny of due process in the country's courts and prisons.
