Pakistan Senate

A hunger strike has started targeting senators who abandoned Imran Khan, referred to by supporters as 'Kaptaan'. The call is associated with Dr Shahbaz Gill, a figure close to the former Pakistani prime minister, amid ongoing tensions within Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf over defections and political loyalty. Supporters are framing the protest as pressure on lawmakers who switched allegiances.
