Pelion

A Greek-language poem by the poet Melissanthi, 'The Age of Sleep' ('Η εποχή του ύπνου'), is being shared and read again. The text reflects on sleep as a visceral refuge for human uncertainty, fragile memory and the careless heart, and is published alongside a 2021 photograph taken in Portaria on the Pelion peninsula near Volos, Greece. Readers are engaging with its meditation on rest and existential unease.
