Perform 55

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says Ukraine is now neutralizing 55% of the jet-powered Shahed drones Russia launches against Ukrainian territory. The claim highlights progress in Kyiv's air defenses against an escalating campaign of drone strikes that has pounded cities and energy infrastructure. The figure offers a measure of how the fast-moving aerial battle between Russian attack drones and Ukrainian countermeasures is evolving.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Ukraine is currently intercepting 55% of Russian jet-powered Shahed drones and more than 90% of conventional Shahed models. The figures, given in his evening address, offer a snapshot of Kyiv's air-defence performance against Russia's escalating drone campaign. Interception rates for the faster jet-powered variants are notably lower, highlighting the challenge new drone types pose to Ukrainian defences.
