Ponytail

A JavaScript project called Ponytail by developer Dietrich Gebert is gaining traction on GitHub. Its pitch: it makes AI coding agents 'think like the laziest senior dev in the room', pushing them toward minimal solutions, with the motto that the best code is the code you never wrote. The tool is drawing attention among developers frustrated by AI assistants that over-engineer simple tasks.
