Project Tektite

Friends of the Virgin Islands National Park has produced a new documentary, 'Project Tektite – America's Undersea Space Program,' revisiting the historic underwater habitat experiments conducted in the US Virgin Islands in the 1960s and 70s, which NASA used to study astronauts' performance in isolated environments. The production highlights the territory's role in early space research.
