Project YATA-Shield

Japan's Information-technology Promotion Agency (IPA) has published its Information Security White Paper 2026, so far only in Japanese. An English summary circulating among security researchers reports phishing reports rose 15% to 2.31 million, illicit bank transfers hit ¥10.4 billion, the worst figure in five years, and that Japan's active cyber defense policy is largely framed around information sharing.
