RCD Espanyol

A wax figure of the late Espanyol midfielder Dani Jarque has been unveiled in Barcelona, in an emotional ceremony covered by El Periódico. Jarque, who died in 2009 at age 26 while captaining RCD Espanyol, remains a beloved figure in Spanish football, remembered for his leadership and for the famous tribute by Andrés Iniesta after the 2010 World Cup final.
