Russia's Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP) has come out against the proposed windfall tax on excess revenues from mineral extraction, the ProFinance outlet reports. The proposal is associated with Finance Minister Anton Siluanov, whose name is drawing searches in Russia. The business lobby argues the one-off levy on mining profits would discourage investment and burden companies already facing high taxes.
