Florida Senators Rick Scott and Ashley Moody have introduced legislation to ban oil and gas projects along a range considered pivotal to military readiness. The bill aims to shield the area, used for defense training, from energy development. The senators frame the measure as protecting national security needs, though details on the exact location and scope of the ban have not been widely reported.
