River Campus

Theatre and dance students at Southeast Missouri State University are performing 'Footloose' at the Bedell Performance Hall on the university's River Campus. The production features student performers in the classic musical about a town where dancing is banned, drawing local attention to the university's performing arts programme and its semester staging.

Students from Grand Rapids Community College's English and Science programs took part in the Detroit River Story Lab, a University of Michigan-run initiative that takes learners onto the river for hands-on environmental and storytelling education. The college's student newspaper reported the trip, highlighting the interdisciplinary nature of the outing, which combines science fieldwork with writing about the river's ecology and history.
