Roberto Scarpinato

Roberto Scarpinato, Italy's national anti-mafia prosecutor, is back at the centre of Italian political debate. Brothers of Italy's Giovanni Donzelli attacked Giuseppe Conte over a photo of Scarpinato with judges Falcone and Borsellino, saying "and Judas was beside Jesus". Meanwhile, parliament's anti-mafia commission faces questions over testimony concerning mafia infiltration in public contracts involving Natoli and Scarpinato.
