Semisonic

Semisonic released their debut album, Great Divide, in April thirty years ago, prompting longtime fans to look back at the Minneapolis band's early days. One fan recalls seeing them before they adopted the Semisonic name, when they performed as Pleasure at a best new bands showcase at First Avenue in 1995, describing them as one of the tightest bands he had seen. While the band is best known for their later hits, the anniversary has revived appreciation for their lesser-known first record.
