Seversk

Key equipment has been installed in the turbine hall of the BREST-OD-300 reactor facility in Russia, a lead-cooled fast reactor demonstration project at the Siberian Chemical Combine in Seversk. The installation marks another construction milestone for the pioneering unit, which is part of Russia's Breakthrough programme to close the nuclear fuel cycle, and is being followed closely by international nuclear energy observers.
