Somerset Levels

The BBC reports that a proposed solar farm could surround the village of Mark on the Somerset Levels, effectively encircling the settlement with panels. The story has drawn attention as a local planning issue, with villagers likely facing questions about farmland use, landscape impact and renewable energy development. Details of the developer, the site's size and the consultation process have not yet been made widely available.
