Sumy region

Ukraine's military says a marine in the Sumy region remains under Ukrainian control. The statement, carried by Ukrinform, appears aimed at countering claims that territorial losses had occurred in the border region, where fighting between Ukrainian and Russian forces has continued. Officials stressed the area is still held by Ukrainian units.
