T-MEC

Mexico's trade agreement with the United States and Canada, the T-MEC, is at the center of political debate. Economy Secretary Marcelo Ebrard said the pact will remain in force for another ten years with annual reviews, but President Claudia Sheinbaum acknowledged negotiations have stalled over Mexico's trade deficit with the US.
