Student team TU/ecomotive from Eindhoven has unveiled VENTRA, an electric car concept designed to capture tire wear particles as it drives. The project targets microplastic pollution from tires, a major but often overlooked source of ocean and air contamination. The team previously built the CO2-capturing ZEM car and says VENTRA offers a retrofit-ready solution for cleaner mobility.
