Temple Bar

The Madras High Court is in the news for several decisions and actions. It dismissed the pleas of four police officers in the Madapuram temple guard custodial death case and set a nine-month deadline to complete their trial. The court also formed a judicial panel to take over the administration of the Chidambaram Nataraja Temple, issued notice on a PIL seeking a probe into an official's nationality, and observed that religious conversion can bar FCRA registration.

The famous bronze dragon sculpture at Temple Bar, the ceremonial gateway marking the western entrance to the City of London, is the subject of a new set of photographs shared with an art and sculpture community. The dragon, one of the City's guardian beasts, has long drawn interest from photographers and visitors fascinated by its Victorian design and symbolism.
