Tharparkar

A new study in the journal Hydrogeology examines groundwater occurrence and quality in Tharparkar, a hyper-arid desert region of Sindh, Pakistan. Researchers used high-resolution electrical resistivity surveys alongside hydrochemical evidence to identify where usable groundwater exists and assess its quality. The work is being shared among hydrogeology and water-scarcity specialists, who note its relevance for communities in one of the world's driest inhabited areas.
