Catalan regional authorities, announced by President Salvador Illa, confirmed that one person has died in Tordera, in the province of Barcelona, as a result of the severe rainstorm affecting Catalonia. Emergency services have been responding to storm damage across the region, and the death is the first reported fatality linked to the adverse weather.
