UNOOSA

World Space Week is being marked internationally, with attention on the UN Office for Outer Space Affairs. Established shortly after the Soviet Union launched Sputnik in 1957, UNOOSA has tracked space exploration ever since, including more than 77 successful lunar missions. Observances this year are highlighting both the history of spaceflight and future journeys beyond the Moon.
