Valsamoggia

Cats are making headlines in Italy for two contrasting reasons. In Genoa, animal welfare group Enpa rescued a tiny injured kitten cared for by its wildlife centre. Meanwhile in Valsamoggia, near Bologna, dozens of cats have vanished in weeks, prompting associations to warn owners to keep pets indoors and suggest specialised theft rings may be involved, urging microchipping.
