France is facing a worsening drought, with new water restrictions in Tarn-et-Garonne described as a 'preoccupying situation' after another month without significant rain. Meurthe-et-Moselle remains in crisis level with water-use limits maintained. In the Vosges, transport firm Vosges Transports says it is on the brink of bankruptcy due to the drought, while Brittany and BPI France have announced 50 million euros in guaranteed loans and an emergency farm aid plan in the Marne has been criticised as insufficient.
