WayBack Machine

The Internet Archive is being discussed in connection with a project or feature referred to as its 'alphabet'. The non-profit digital library, best known for the Wayback Machine and its vast collections of archived web pages, books and media, continues to draw attention for its preservation work and ongoing legal battles with publishers over its lending practices.

The Internet Archive reports that the Wayback Machine and its full archive services are back up after an outage. The nonprofit's digital library, which preserves billions of web pages, books and media, had been inaccessible, disrupting researchers, journalists and everyday users who rely on it. The organisation has confirmed services are restored and is working to stabilise the site.
