Zeekraal

People are sharing photographs of zeekraal, the glasswort or samphire plant that turns bright red across the Dutch Wadden coast salt marshes in autumn. The seasonal colour change of the plant on the kwelder, the tidal marshland along the Wadden Sea, is a familiar sign of the season and nature lovers are posting their weekend walks among the marsh vegetation.
