crash ax

Authorities in the United Arab Emirates say a suspect in an attempted hijacking used a 'crash ax' during what they describe as an attempted terror attack. Details about the incident, the suspect's identity and any injuries remain limited. The case has drawn widespread international attention as officials investigate the suspect's motives and how the weapon was brought aboard.

A suspect is accused of using the cockpit's emergency crash axe to attack the captain aboard a FlyDubai flight, according to local news reporting. The alleged mid-flight assault on a pilot has raised questions about cockpit security and how the suspect gained access to the axe. Details about the flight route, the suspect's identity and motive have not yet been confirmed.

Reports say the attacker aboard a FlyDubai flight used a 'crash ax,' an emergency tool carried as standard equipment on many commercial aircraft. The revelation is raising questions about cockpit and cabin security, since items meant for emergency use could be turned against crew or passengers during an incident.
