light geese

The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection's Fish and Wildlife division has issued an update on the state's Light Goose Conservation Season. The conservation order allows hunters to take light geese, such as snow geese, outside regular waterfowl seasons to help curb their population and protect sensitive Arctic tundra habitats. Hunters are advised to check current regulations and permit requirements before heading out.
