light geese

The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection's Fish and Wildlife division has issued an update on the state's Light Goose Conservation Season. The season, which allows hunters to take light geese such as snow geese outside regular waterfowl dates, is part of efforts to manage overabundant goose populations damaging coastal habitats. The update provides hunters with current season rules and dates.
