International White Cane Day is being marked, with one advocate sharing an article titled 'The Cane Got Me Here' and calling on the accessible radio station Double Tap to devote an hour or curate its schedule around White Cane topics. The day raises awareness of the white cane as a symbol of independence and mobility for blind and partially sighted people.
