Engineers at Queen Mary University of London have developed a compact, electrically tunable lens that mimics the human eye's ability to focus. Instead of traditional mechanical motors, the lens uses soft, responsive materials, with spray-coated reduced graphene oxide as a key component. The design could enable smaller, faster and quieter focusing systems for cameras, imaging devices and other optics applications.
