A gardener in southern Minnesota is reporting on their compost bins in the first days of October. The vegetable garden is still producing, so the bins are waiting for the big seasonal top-up of autumn material. A soil thermometer reads 60 F (15 C), described as relatively normal for this time of year, and the runner ducks are part of the setup.
