stray dog

A Japanese dog owner shared the story of a dog that once lived as a stray in the mountains, now grown to a hefty 30 kilograms, alongside photos of it as a puppy. Readers flooded the comments saying they fell for the puppy pictures, with many remarking that the transformation from a wild stray to a big, well-fed pet felt almost unbelievable.

In Fossano, Italy, the Pinco Pallino association has set up a dog shelter park, saying that if people do not change their behaviour towards abandoned animals, it will act itself. The initiative, reported by La Stampa, aims to raise awareness about stray dogs and give sheltered animals a public space. It is drawing attention locally as a hands-on response to animal abandonment.
