The Lyn Jones research group has published a new paper examining the amino acid reactivity and plasma stability of sulfonyl imidazole (SuDEx) and triazole (SuTEx) electrophiles. The study reports that SuDEx electrophiles show enhanced plasma stability alongside notable tyrosine reactivity. The work is relevant to covalent drug discovery, where sulphur-fluoride exchange chemistry is used to target amino acids beyond cysteine.
