voter mobilisation groups

Campaigners and political groups are pushing get-out-the-vote efforts ahead of the US midterm elections, urging voters to register and head to the polls. The mobilisation push is drawing attention online as parties and activists race to turn out their supporters in contests that could shape control of Congress.

Six political groups in Corpus Christi, Texas, have come together to discuss the value of young voters in local politics, the Corpus Christi Caller-Times reports. The event brought the organisations together around the question of how to engage and mobilise younger residents ahead of upcoming elections.
