Commenters surprised by USA Today's straight news report
Original: Holy shit. USA Today posted actual news. Consider me surprised.
USA Today published a straight news report, drawing surprised reactions from readers who say the outlet rarely sticks to plain reporting. Comments reflect a broader distrust of mainstream media, with people expressing shock that a major national newspaper delivered straightforward coverage rather than commentary or opinion.
Why now: People are voicing long-standing frustration with mainstream media coverage, so a report they see as genuinely newsworthy stands out.
