Trump warns he may not cooperate if Democrats win midterms

Original: midterms

At a rally in Ohio, Donald Trump used coarse language and suggested he may not work with Democrats if they win the midterm elections. The remark comes ahead of voting that will decide control of Congress, and critics seized on the speech as a sign of escalating partisan division, while supporters read it as typical rally rhetoric aimed at energising his base.

Why now: The midterm elections are near, making every Trump campaign appearance newsworthy.
