Ukrainian drones deliver food to Russian-occupied Oleshky

Original: Ukrainian drones deliver new batch of food to Russian-occupied Oleshky

Ukrainian forces have used drones to deliver a new batch of food supplies to residents of Oleshky, a city in Ukraine's Kherson region that has been under Russian occupation since 2022. Left largely cut off after the destruction of the Kakhovka dam in 2023, residents have depended on such aerial supply drops for basic necessities.

Why now: The unusual use of drones for humanitarian deliveries into occupied territory highlights ongoing hardship for civilians there.
