Reports say two Russian military jets were hit in an overnight strike on Khanskaya airbase, in Russia's Adygea region. The claim, circulated with footage described as showing the aftermath, comes amid a string of Ukrainian long-range attacks on Russian airfields. Independent confirmation of the damage and the aircraft types involved has not been established.
Why now: Ukrainian strikes deep inside Russian territory continue to draw intense attention as the war grinds on.
