Italian military aviation union demands end to long TFS payment waits
Original: trattamento di fine rapporto
The SIULM union is pressing Italy's Air Force and defence authorities over years-long delays in paying the trattamento di fine servizio, the end-of-service settlement owed to military personnel. The union says soldiers are left waiting for money they are entitled to and is calling for the backlog to be cleared quickly.
Why now: Serving and former military personnel affected by delayed end-of-service payments are pressing the issue publicly.
