Original: greve mardi 6 octobre

High school students across France are mobilising ahead of a strike on Tuesday October 6, the day after more than 160 lycées — over a third of establishments — were closed in Ile-de-France on Monday, according to regional president Valérie Pécresse. The student mobilisation has disrupted schools across the Paris region and drawn wide political reaction.

Why now: A nationwide student strike is scheduled for Tuesday October 6, following major lycée closures and blockades in the Paris region.
