Original: Jets get first interception since 2024 season, snapping record 20-game streak https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/7614160/2
The New York Jets ended a record 20-game streak without an interception by picking off a pass in their game on October 4, 2026, their first interception since the 2024 season. The drought had become an embarrassing NFL record, and its end is drawing attention from fans and sports media.
Why now: An NFL team ending a historically bad 20-game streak without an interception is a notable, unusual sports milestone.
