Prosecutors say US donations for Gaza went to Hamas
Original: A fool and their money... Americans donated money for Gaza after the Oct. 7 attacks. The funds went to Hamas, prosecutor
Federal prosecutors allege that money donated by Americans for Gaza relief following the October 7 attacks was diverted to Hamas rather than humanitarian aid. The claim, reported by CBS News, has sparked discussion about charity oversight, fundraising scams, and how donors can verify where their money actually goes in conflict zones.
Why now: Fresh allegations that US charitable donations intended for Gaza relief were funnelled to Hamas have raised concerns about donor fraud.
