Israel says it killed Turkish NGO director in Gaza strike
Original: Israel says killed Turkish NGO director in Gaza strike
Israel's military says an airstrike in Gaza killed the director of a Turkish non-governmental organisation, a Turkish national who Israel identified as a militant operative. The claim, reported by international outlets including Arab News and Le Monde, is likely to strain already tense relations between Israel and Turkey, which have clashed repeatedly over the Gaza war.
Why now: The killing of a Turkish NGO figure by an Israeli strike carries diplomatic fallout between Israel and Turkey amid the Gaza war.
