Dale Vince steps in for Polanski in by-election
Original: dale vince
Green energy businessman Dale Vince is standing in a UK parliamentary by-election after Green Party leader Zack Polanski asked him to replace him as candidate, according to The Telegraph. The move puts Vince, a prominent party donor and founder of Ecotricity, at the centre of debate over the Greens' by-election strategy and Polanski's decision to step aside.
Why now: News that the Green Party leader withdrew and asked a high-profile donor to stand instead is drawing fresh attention to the party's by-election campaign.
