Milan youths hold phone-light vigil in solidarity with Gaza

Original: I hope people in # Gaza can see this. # Milan 3/10/26: young people lit their phones in the dark to tell their peers in

Young people in Milan gathered at night on March 10, 2026, lighting up their phone torches in the dark as a message of solidarity with people in Gaza, telling them 'you are not alone'. The crowd spontaneously began singing 'Free Palestine'. One of the organisers, UN special rapporteur Francesca Albanese, said the generation marked by the war will see Israel's policies brought before international justice.

Why now: The phone-light vigil is spreading on social media as a visible, emotional gesture of solidarity with Gaza amid ongoing public protest across Europe.
