Distrust of Trump drives scepticism over reports of his departure from politics

Social media users are voicing deep distrust of Donald Trump, saying that when word finally comes that he is gone — politically or otherwise — they will keep checking the news to be sure, because they argue he has lied too often to be believed. The comments come amid ongoing discussion of the Israel-Iran conflict, US involvement in the Middle East, and persistent demands for the release of the Epstein files.
Why now: Anger over Trump's credibility is resurfacing amid war news in the Middle East and continued controversy over the Epstein files.
