Supporters are publicly thanking Francesca Albanese, the UN Special Rapporteur on the occupied Palestinian territories, for remarks they say amplified Palestinian voices. One message thanking her for her 'attention' and 'humanity' drew agreement, with the sender saying 'the voice of Palestine rises thanks to your voice.' Albanese remains a polarising figure, drawing both strong praise from pro-Palestinian supporters and sharp criticism from Israel and its backers.

Why now: Francesca Albanese's statements on Gaza and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict continue to generate strong reactions and debate online.
