Zack Polanski, leader of the Green Party of England and Wales, has reportedly been barred from entering Israel after his party adopted a policy describing Zionism as racism, according to the London Evening Standard. The ban centres on Polanski, whose Holborn and St Pancras constituency links and party stance have drawn scrutiny. The move is expected to fuel debate in Britain over the Greens' position on Israel and antisemitism.
Why now: The reported entry ban of a major UK party leader over contested party policy is a new and politically charged development.
